A North Cheam restaurant’s ventilation system was destroyed and a first floor flat was damaged following a fire earlier this week.
The London Fire Brigade was called to Tas Restaurant, in London Road, at around 9.45pm on March 18.
Four people left the premises before firefighters arrived, with parts of the flat roof at the rear of the restaurant affected as well.
Crews from Mitcham and Sutton fire stations attended, with the incident under control shortly after midnight, while the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Sutton Guardian has approached Tas Restaurant for comment.
