A man who twice stole a vacuum cleaner from Sainsbury's supermarket in Sutton High Street has been handed a jail sentence.
Mark Baldock, of Sydney Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing in addition to two counts of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) on May 11.
The 40-year-old, who is also banned from specific shops in the borough, violated the order on two occasions - February 26 and March 1 this year.
He entered the supermarket on each occasion and stole a vacuum cleaner worth £320.
He was given the CBO on December 8 last year which banned him from Sainsbury’s in the high street due to stealing from there in the past.
Baldock was given an eight-week jail sentence and ordered to pay £640 in compensation, as well as a £115 victim surcharge following a trial at Croydon Crown Court.
