If you’re on the hunt for a change of work or a new career then you will want to come along to Sutton Guardian’s Jobs Fair next month.

We are holding a job fair on October 18 at The Holiday Inn in Gibson Road, Sutton, providing a great opportunity to match up employers with potential new employees.

A range of companies and organisations will be exhibiting at the fair, while the National Careers Service will be running seminars and giving interview tips and advice on CV writing.

The event follows our highly successful job fair last year, when around 400 people, armed with CVs and dreams of a new career, met with employers looking to add to their ranks.

Tanya Hurley, sales manager at Sutton Guardian, said: “The employers and training providers present are always really welcoming to job seekers.

“You can hand a copy of your CV straight to the employer at the event and talk about how your skills and experience can meet their needs.

“All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you on the day.”

Among the employers exhibiting at the previous fair was recruitment agency Extraman, whose manager Emma Wadding said: "We enjoyed the event. I wasn’t sure how many people we expected to see on the day, however we managed to speak with a number of candidates and already have four candidates into work this week, which is great news."

The event will run from 10am to 3pm. Entry is free.
