Crystal Palace chief Neil Warnock has confirmed central-defender Leon Cort is on the verge of sealing a move to Stoke City.
Cort was in negotiations with Stoke chief Tony Pullis yesterday after the Potters had a bid, believed to be around £1m, accepted by the Selhurst Park club.
The former Hull City defender joined the Eagles under Peter Taylor before the start of last season and won the club's player of the year award - but has been deemed surplus to requirements by Warnock.
The Palace boss said: "I've allowed Leon Cort to go to Stoke and he has been talking to them - I will be looking to bring in one or two players to supplement the ones we've got already."
And the former Sheffield United boss also confirmed he is tracking Potters defender Clint Hill - but it is understood any move for the 29-year-old will not be part of the same deal that should see Cort move to the Brittania Stadium.
But Warnock says a deal for Hill is no where near completion.
"We are going to speak to Clint Hill - but I thought Jose done quite well against Stoke as did Hudson."
