Stuart Green is set to leave Crystal Palace after Neil Warnock confirmed he is surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park.

Green, who joined Palace from Hull City last summer, has played just 26 minutes of football under Warnock and was left out of the 16 for last night's clash against league leaders Watford.

The 26-year-old has made 27 appearances and scored four goals since his £75,000 move from the Kingston Communications Stadium last year - but it looks as if he has played his last game for the club after new chief Warnock confirmed he does not have a Selhurst Park future.

He said: "I've spoken to Stuart and he is a nice lad - but I'm going to let him go.

"I've already got a number of players who can play in that position so we will have a chat about the situation soon."
