Officers investigating the murder of a 24-year-old shot dead in an Ipswich nightclub have arrested a Croydon man.

Jimoh Plunkett was shot in the chest in the Zest nightclub in Princes Street last December.

During the night of violence three other clubbers were left with gunshot wounds and another man with knife wounds.

Detectives confirmed they arrested a 19-year-old from Croydon on Saturday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The man was taken to Ipswitch where he was quizzed before being bailed to return to a Suffolk police station on January 18 next year.

So far officers investigating the murder have arrested 16 people including a 20-year-old woman from Carshalton and an 18-year-old woman from South Norwood.

The investigation, which is estimated to have cost more than £2.2million, has yet to uncover the weapon used to shoot Mr Plunkett.
