Ace marksman Mark Nwokeji had predicted that Staines Town would cause a FA Cup shock at Woking last Saturday and then ensured it would happen by scoring the only goal to put them in the first round proper for the first time in 23 years.

Now the striker is predicting that the Swans will pull off another giant killing act at Stockport County on Saturday week and is again ready to back up his words with a goal.

He says: "Beating Woking was a massive achievement, and that was my most important goal. But we could do it again in the next round if we produce our best form.

"Winning the league is our main priority, but if we can win at Stockport it would be the best result since I've been at the club. And to score the winner again would be fantastic.

"We are as skilful and as fast as Stockport in certain phases and if we can maintain that over the whole 90 minutes we can win."

And who would back against the former Charlton Athletic and Colchester United youth team player taking another scalp? After all, he has already scored 14 goals this season - nine in the league and five in the cup.

Nwokeji, who has impressed League Two neighbours Brentford, adds: "I've never played in the League and that has to be my aim. A cup run can get me noticed and should also alert clubs to what a good goalkeeper we've got in Shaun Allaway.

"He didn't make it at Leeds United but he deserves another chance. There's no reason why he can't get back in the League and he showed what a class act he is with four match-winning saves against Woking."

The 25-year-old Nwokeji revealed how he won his battle of wits with his old mate Nick Gindre, the Woking keeper, to score the vital goal after only nine minutes of Saturday's tense fourth qualifying round tie.

He recalled: "I took a pass from Lewis Cook on my chest and out-paced a defender to leave myself with the keeper to beat. I used to play with Nick Gindre at Walton and Hersham and I know how sharp he is so I decided not to try to go round him in case he out-witted me. Instead, I picked my shot and put the ball away."

It was a golden goal which earned Staines £10,000 in FA Cup prize money to take their total prize bonanza so far to more than £20,000 by winning through five rounds in which they have been drawn away every time!

Now they will be meeting a League club for the first time in a major competition after gaining their first competitive win over a Conference club. Nwokeji says: "Anything is possible. I said we could beat Woking after we had gone down 5-2 at Abingdon United in the FA Trophy because I knew Woking would not be as negative as Abingdon had. This enabled us to hit them on the break and we can do the same at Stockport."

Due to their FA Trophy defeat, Staines are without a game this Saturday so their next fixture is at Stockport!
