Two men have been arrested after a police operation uncovered an illegal "passport factory" in Streatham this afternoon.
The pair - aged 39 and 35 - were arrested after police swooped on the men's BMW in Guildersfield Road following a covert operation allegedly revealed them selling identity documents.
After finding identity documents and personal information inside the car, police moved on to search the men's homes.
A search of the 39-year-old's home, a terrace house in Streatham uncovered a functioning passport factory set up in a bedroom including variety of passports covers, driving licences and ID documents from countries including Lithuania, Italy and Finland.
Detectives believe the factory has been operating for at least the past three months, bringing in thousands of pounds each week.
More than £2,000 in cash was seized today.
Both men have been arrested for conspiracy to manufacture identity documents and are currently in custody at a south London police station pending ongoing searches and investigations.
