West Ewell house hit by lightning

Comments (0)A West Ewell house was set on fire this evening after being struck by lightning.
Eyewitnesses say the Heatherside Road home was hit by lightning at around 6.30pm.
At least six fire engines and two hydraulic platforms arrived 15 minutes after the blaze began to find the terrace house's roof engulfed in smoke.
The fire was brought under control within three hours, but not before it had caused substantial damage to the roof.
