A new immersive party experience will launch in central London’s Outernet precinct based on an iconic and beloved queer film.

First an Oscar winning film, then a Tony and Olivier award-winning West End and Broadway musical, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is now an immersive party experience set to open at HERE at the Outernet early next year.

Priscilla The Party! will open in Soho in February 2024 and promises to continue the camp, heart warming legacy of the original 90s films, with elaborate costumes and a soundtrack of hits and bangers.

Guests will be invited to glam up and to unleash their inner diva and to singalong to the tunes and carve up the dance floor.

The Australian film, which sees three drag queens travel into regional Australia has the universal and timeless message of acceptance and inclusivity at its core, and following on from the success of the jukebox musical which debuted in 2006,

Priscilla The Party! reimagines the queer outback adventure so that the show unfolds around the audience to create a theatrical party experience.

Trans activist said: “I’m just very excited about Priscilla The Party!, and it’s such a ground-breaking story, especially with everything going on with the trans community right now, this is what we need, we need stories that lead with joy, and to show that the trans experience isn’t always about tragedy.

“Priscilla is a timeless classic, for so many queer people it was the first time we saw queer people in movies, that we saw drag queens in movies, that I saw a trans woman on screen.”
