All traffic has been stopped on the M25 near Heathrow Airport due to a "serious" multi-vehicle crash.

The motorway has been shut on the M25 clockwise within junction 14 since around 9.30am today (March 18).

National Highways (@HighwaysEAST) is urging motorists on X (formally known as Twitter) to allow plenty of time travelling in the area.

There are currently three miles of congestion on approach which is causing 25-minute delays.

It is unknown when all traffic restrictions will be lifted.

We have contacted Surrey Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service for further information.
