A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted after a man asked her for drugs in Epsom.

The incident took place around 10.30pm on February 21 where a teenage girl was approached by a stranger on Horsley Close.

The man asked the young girl for drugs and then grabbed her hips before she broke free.

He followed her north via Gosfield Road and Maidenshaw Road.

He is described as in his mid-30s, approximately 5’10", with scruffy, unkempt brown hair and a stubbly beard with a moustache.

The suspect was wearing a khaki hoodie, dark loose jogging bottoms and white Nike Air Force one trainers.

Police say he has a “distinctive sloping physical stance which was quite slumped over with his head onto his shoulders, almost like he was shrugging”.

Officers are urging anyone with information related to this crime or who might have witnessed the incident to contact them, quoting PR/45240021658.

A spokesperson for Epsom and Ewell beat said: “We’re appealing for witnesses after a girl in her teens was sexually assaulted in Epsom on Wednesday, 21 February.

“The assault occurred at around 10.30pm on Horsley Close as a man approached her, asking if she had any drugs and then grabbed her hips.

“She managed to escape his grasp and he then followed her north along Gosfield Road before turning on to Maidenshaw Road, “The suspect has been described as a White man in his mid-30s, around 5’10” tall, with brown hair which was unkempt and scruffy, a stubbly beard and moustache.

“He was wearing a khaki hoodie with the hood up, dark coloured baggy jogging bottoms and white Nike Air Force 1 trainers.

“He has also been described as having a distinctive stance which was quite slumped over with his head onto his shoulders, almost like he was shrugging.
