Road safety is an imperative component that is essential around our community, because there have been a lot of crashes and accidents. Research shows that 76% of deaths of 16-19 year olds are caused by road traffic accidents and young male drivers are seven times more at risk of having a crash then all male drivers. Also 60% of road traffic accidents in Sutton are caused by speeding. Tom Brake, MP, supports the Road Safety Week campaign promoted by Sutton Borough of Liberal Democrats. In 2007, 18 riders were killed and 133 were seriously injured in collisions. This makes it a priority for all Surreys organisations working together to make Surrey’s roads safer.
RIDE SAFER – LIVE LONGER.
In my opinion road safety could be improved by having more speed cameras.
