A Kingston shop worker is vying to become the next Miss England, after beating scores of young women to reach the regional finals.
Sabrina Evelyn, 21, who is studying nursing at South Bank University and works in the Bentall Centre, was picked for the Miss Fresh Photographic category and is competing with 31 other girls to make it through to the semi-finals.
Sabrina, who lives in Hanworth, was persuaded to enter the competition after her boyfriend bought her a photo experience day as a birthday present.
She said: “I wasn’t expecting to get anywhere so when I got the phone call to invite me to come for a professional photo shoot for the competition I was really excited.”
