Police were called to a serious disturbance at a car boot sale in the grounds of St Philomena’s Catholic School in Carshalton.
Pupils and staff at the sale watched as officers escorted five women and one man away from the stalls in Pound Street on Sunday morning.
Six people have since been arrested for public order offences.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses as enquiries are continuing.
