A mother-of-two is launching an appeal after her children’s motorbikes were stolen from her garden shed.

Kelly Keahey, 27, of Shrewsbury Road, Carshalton, was gutted to find out the two motorbikes worth £600, which also had sentimental value to the family, were taken from the family’s garden when she woke up on Saturday.

Miss Keahey’s son Kuy Kenchington, eight months old, and Georgia, eight, were given the bikes by their father Guy, 23, who is bike crazy.

She said: “My partner is obsessed with bikes, quads and engines and gave my son this bike when he was born, as a birth present. Of course it is gutting when anything is stolen, but when it’s your child’s it’s even more heartbreaking.”  According to sales administrator Miss Keahey, both bikes are 50cc and knee high. One of them is blue and white, and the other yellow and black. The family is now appealing for anyone who has information to contact police.

Miss Keahey said: “Somebody broke into our garden some time on Friday night, while we were in. It is a small community and we are sure through word of mouth somebody will have information.”
