By Josie Bate Going back to school in September won't be quite so hard for a group of youngsters from St Agatha's primary school in Kingston. For just before they broke up in July, they were told their "Thriller" tribute to Michael Jackson had won them first prize in a Kingston primary schools annual singing competition.
The 30 children from year four Eagles class will go back to school in September to receive their prize for coming first in the modern foreign languages singing competition which is held annually for primary schools in the borough.
Said head teacher Mr Patrick Monk:"I'm very proud of my pupils and my thanks must go to modern foreign languages teacher Salome Humanes who organised the class. Mrs Humanes should be very proud of her students too, for not only did year four win the top prize, but our year six Flamingos class also came third with their very funny rendition of a famous Spanish football song."
