Relatives of Tulse Hill’s Jean Charles de Menezes have called for a permanent memorial to be placed outside Stockwell Underground station.
An image of the planned mosaic, which features a picture of the 27-year-old, was unveiled by his cousin’s outside the station on July 22, four years after he was shot by police who mistook him for a suicide bomber.
The Brazilian electrician’s cousins said it would be a "fitting tribute" to replace the temporary shrine that currently exists for him there.
Family campaign member Asad Rehman said it would be a memorial not only to the memory of Jean but a testament to “the struggle for truth and justice".
Transport for London has said it was happy to continue discussions about a suitable permanent memorial, but no decision had yet been made.
An online petition, Never Forget, will be set up for people to register support for the memorial.
