Palace defender Tony Popovic hopes to sign a new contract when his current deal expires in the summer, but he will listen to offers from other clubs.
The 30-year-old Australian international, signed on a free transfer from Hiroshima by Steve Bruce in August 2001, will be offered a new deal by the club but will wait and see what terms are on offer.
Popovic told the Guardian: "I am enjoying it here, things are looking up for the club and I would like to be part of it, if possible. It's up to the manager and the club whether they want to keep me, and then obviously I will have to look at other options as well and see what is best for me and my family."
Dowie has already indicated that some of Palace's eight out-of-contract players may be offered reduced terms, but Popovic is likely to look elsewhere if that is the case.
He added: "I would like it to be here but I can't say that will definitely be the case. If that can't happen then I am sure I will be fixed up somewhere by July.
"I am enjoying my football more than ever and want to stay to be part of something special here. I have improved as a player under the manager and John Harbin."
