Reading some of your letters in the Croydon Guardian I feel it should be pointed out that even in New Addington people are scared.
On a visit to my sister last week, we watched young children using their driveway as if it was their own, firstly riding bikes in and out and another time using a drive for a goal post, with no regard for the owner of the property.
I know it is said they have no place to play, yet there is a large playing field in the next street, when I mentioned this to someone they told me if you complain mud is thrown at your windows and cars are vandalised.
Is it any wonder that the old are scared to do anything, even the wardens seem to turn a blind eye?
