George Burley will not be renewing his efforts to bring another striker to Crystal Palace despite another goalless weekend.

Failure to find the net against Millwall means the Eagles have scored once in their last five games and have just nine goals all season, the third lowest in the league.

The Palace boss was linked with loan swoops for Newcastle's Leon Best and Nile Ranger and Fulham's David Elm last week but, with James Vaughan back in contention for tonight's trip to Norwich, he has decided to stick with what he has got.

"At the moment we will go with the squad we have got," he said.

"That is an area we haven't managed to get right this season.

"But we have got players with ability to score goals coming back into the squad which is encouraging.

"James Vaughan is available tonight, Sean Scannell will take part in a reserve game tomorrow and Darren Ambrose is starting to join in training.

"With Darren we have got to take it day-by-day but he has progressed the last few weeks and is joining in."
