Lottery winner claims £62,000 prize at last minute
A lucky lottery winner has claimed a £62,000 prize, just days before the 180-day claim period expired.
The winner, who bought the ticket in Lambeth, matched five numbers in the April 30 Euromillions draw.
Despite purchasing the £61,921 winning ticket, the ticket holder would have lost their right to claim after October 27.
Had the ticket not been claimed, the money – plus the interest it gained – would have gone to the lottery’s fund for good causes.
