A former Brooklands College student who has gone on to have a successful career in television returned to his former stomping ground this month.
TV editor Richard John Taylor, who realised a life-long dream when he worked on soap Eastenders, was a guest at the college in Weybridge to talk give advice to BTEC media students.
As well as providing guidance, Mr Taylor also told the students stories from his time in the business, including the time he gate-crashed the British Soap Awards in 2004 to get his CV out to important people in the industry.
A spokesperson for the college said: "The media students at Brooklands were transfixed by his presentation and were jostling to ask questions at the end. Students were left feeling inspired and with a sense of ambition that they too could achieve their professional goals."
