Libraries in Surrey are offering free IT sessions from until Sunday, October 24.
The initiative is part of this week's national Get Online week, supported by Surrey County Council (SCC).
The council has already pledged to help 10,000 people get online for the first time by the end of 2012 and has invited residents to sign up to a course or support friends and family who do not use the internet to get online and enjoy the benefits.
Denise Saliagopoulos, member for community services at SCC, said: "Often the people who have most to gain from the internet are the ones missing out. Get Online week is a great time for residents to give computers a go and join the digital revolution.”
