Crystal Palace secured a much-needed and morale boosting 2-1 victory at high-flying Norwich City tonight.
The Eagles had not even scored a goal away from home before this match but headers from on loan defenders Julian Bennett and Anthony Gardner won them the three points.
They had fallen behind to Grant Holt's strike just before half time but goals from two Owen Garvan short corners in the space of eight minutes eased any pressure there was on manager George Burley.
Palace leapfrogged this coming Saturday's opponents Preston North End in the table but remain in the relegation zone on goal difference behind managerless Middlesbrough.
