Two men were arrested at a travellers’ site in Leatherhead after a driver fled from a bust-up with parking enforcement officials with a clamp still attached to his wheel.
A police van and three marked cars swooped on the camp, in River Lane, after they were called to reports of aggressive behaviour and criminal damage.
Officers found the white Vauxhall Astra before arresting two men, aged 40 and 31.
The motorist became aggressive after discovering clampers had targeted his car in Elm Road, Leatherhead, at about 3.50pm on Friday.
Police cautioned the 31-year-old for criminal damage to the clamp, which was worth £70. They let the other man off with no further action.
