Council leader standing down from ward seat
Epsom and Ewell’s council leader is standing down from his seat as a ward councillor in Auriol.
RA member Robert Leach, who has held the seat since May 6 1999, has yet to confirm whether he will continue as a councillor.
Councillor Leach’s decision was confirmed in January’s edition of the Resident’s Association magazine.
Stoneleigh and Auriol Residents Associaton chairman Bill Slaughter, said: “Robert has been an excellent ward councillor.
“He has had a lot of success in his time in planning and leading the RA group.
“It is a legacy to be proud of and I wish him well.”
Coun Leach was unavailable for comment.
