Julian Speroni: 7 - Nothing he could do about the goal and made some smart saves in the fog.
Nathaniel Clyne: 5 - Too easily beaten for the goal and exposed more than once down the right flank.
Paddy McCarthy: 7 - No nonsense defending coupled with the occasional foray forward.
Adam Barrett: 7 - Able stand-in for the crocked Anthony Gardner.
Matthew Parsons: 7 - Dean Moxey may have signed as first choice left back but Parsons did his case no harm with this assured performance.
Alex Marrow: 6 - Looks fully fit now and added steel to midfield.
David Wright: 7 - Has looked a lot more comfortable since Alex Marrow has joined him in front of the back four.
Neil Danns: 7 - Played with an injury and ran the hard yards.
Darren Ambrose: 5 - Not at his best on a boggy pitch and not at full fitness.
Wilfried Zaha: 7 - Tried to be too clever in defence but played the pass of the night to play Vaughan in for the goal.
James Vaughan: 8 - Did well on his own up front and took his chance for the goal extremely well. Star Man.
Subs:
Sean Scannell (Ambrose, 62): 6 - Had a good chance to steal the win late on.
Jermaine Easter (Vaughan, 77): 6 - 77th minute sub for Vaughan, who had run himself into the ground.
Claude Davis (Zaha, 88): 6 - Late replacement for Zaha to bolster the defence.
Not used: Price, Garvan, Counago, Iversen.
