A woman found dead in a flat in Brixton Hill has died of multiple injuries, a post mortem revealed.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found by police in a ground floor flat in Morrish Road at 5.30am on Thursday (February 3). She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination took place at Greenwich Mortuary yesterday (February 4) and gave the cause of death as multiple injuries.
Police are waiting for the woman to be formally identified.
Officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating the murder.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
