The empty Surbiton police station has been sold to the highest buyer after Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) members approved its disposal earlier this month.
The former school building in Ewell Road, Tolworth, has been sold by estate agents Knight Frank to a mystery bidder subject to conditions.
Three confidential bids were received for the police station and the MPA opted for the highest bidder.
Police cars and vehicles which were stored in the car park are temporarily using commercially leased car parking until another solution is found.
The committee was told that the maintenance costs of the police station were £95,297 a year.
The price has not been revealed but a clawback clause will allow the MPA to make more if the successful bidder sells the site on at a higher value within five years.
Both the replacement neighbourhood offices in nearby Millbank House and in Hook are now open.
