A nationwide search is underway to locate a 64-year-old sex offender from Salisbury after he broke the conditions of his sentence.

David Glynn was convicted of indecently assaulting a young woman in 1995 and is required to keep police informed of his location as part of his sentence, but has failed to do so on a number of occasions.

Mt Glynn’s details have been circulated to all police forces in the country and he has been registered on police national computer, financial and intelligence checks as a wanted man.

The location of Mr Glynn’s wife, Terri Glynn, is also unknown but she is not wanted for any offence.

Mr Glynn has been known to go by the name of Brian Irwin while his wife has been known as Teresa Wood and Terri Day.

Police suspect Mr Glynn may have set up a business as a natural therapy practitioner.

Acting detective inspector, Mike Selbie, said: “It may be that they have travelled abroad which has happened previously.

“I would like to make it clear that Terri is not wanted for any offence but I am keen to locate her as she may have information regarding David’s location.

“I’d also like to appeal directly to David because it is important that he realises the seriousness of failing to comply with the registration requirements and I urge him to make contact with police.

“Whenever a convicted sex offender cannot be traced there is obviously an increased risk of that person reoffending and whilst we have not got any specific information that indicates that he has done, it is clearly important that we do everything possible to try and locate him.”

Anyone with information should call Mike Selbie on 0845 408 7000 or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where information may be left anonymously.
