Daytime TV presenter Ruth Langsford has joined thousands of volunteers around the UK to collect money for the Alzheimer's Society.
The star of ITV's flagship This Morning joined Premiership footballer Peter Crouch outside her local Tesco store in Weybridge on May 28 to collect money from shoppers.
It was part of the Big Collection, a nationwide fundraising drive for the charity organised by Tesco.
She said: "This year, 100,000 more people will develop dementia and we want to help make sure they don’t face it alone. When people are first diagnosed with this awful illness, they and their families are often in shock and feel bewildered and isolated. Alzheimer's Society can help them in so many ways even if it's just a sympathetic ear."
