A passionate carer has struck gold after going the extra mile.
Tetri Baksh, who works at the Wimbledon Beaumont home, was named national carer of the year by Barchester Healthcare.
She beat carers from about 220 other homes to win the title, which was announced at an awards ceremony in Birmingham this week.
Paul Hart, general manager at the Arterberry Road home, said: “All of us at the home are thrilled. This is a major achievement for Tetri.
"She’s passionate about care... Her nomination was in recognition of her tireless work and dedication to residents’ wellbeing.”
