A church congregation was rocking in the aisles when a blues guitarist performed to the worshippers.
Bryn Hanworth, who has played with such acts as Gerry Rafferty and Chris de Burgh, was the guest of Cornerstone the Church at Sandown Park, Esher, on Sunday, May 29, leading the morning congregation in soul classic Stand By Me, before treating them to some of his solo pieces.
He again joined the church for their evening service and played a bluesy version of Spirit in the Sky.
Senior pastor Chris Demetriou said: “Having Bryn and his wife Sally with us today was truly memorable. His world class musical ability is matched by a humble spirit and it was a real privilege to welcome them into the Cornerstone family.”
