A woman was trapped in a car that ended up on its side after crashing into a tree.
Police were called at 12.52am today to the incident in Downs Side, Belmont.
A police spokesman said: "The car ended up on its side, initially the female driver who was alone in the car, was unable to get out but didn't appear hurt. She was taken to hospital with minor injuries."
It is understood the white Nissan Micra turned on its side after clipping a tree.
Police turned the car upright before firefighters arrived.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We sent an ambulance crew to the scene to treat a patient, a woman reported to be in her 20s."
"They treated her for hand and neck injuries and took her to St Helier Hospital as a priority."
Firefighters put down sand to stop oil that had leaked from the car causing other cars to skid.
