A mystery walker dressed in a mankini was among hundreds doing the Midnight Walk to mark the 25th anniversary of the Princess Alice Hospice.
The streets of Esher, Walton and Hampton Court were filled with bright colours as participants walked along dressed in 80s or silver outfits.
Some people sported flashing headbands, wigs and brightly coloured leg warmers while others went to town with a completely retro look.
It costs more than £7m-a-year to provide services free of charge and they hope this event will help contribute towards their target.
Walkers have already raised a lot of money for the charity and a few have exceeded funds of £1,000.
All participants who secure £250 or more in sponsorship will receive a limited edition 25th anniversary T-shirt.
Chris Crooker, event fundraiser, said: “Princess Alice Hospice would like to thank all local residents for their support and co-operation, the brave walkers, dedicated volunteers and generous companies who helped make the event such a success.
“Each walker who joined us this year will make a difference and together it will help us support patients throughout Surrey and south-west London.”
The event gave hospice supporters a chance to remember their loved ones and all walkers wrote a special message on a dedication card which was pinned to their clothes.
Participants also had the opportunity to write a message on a tag for the special balloon release at midnight.
