New research has revealed that the average person in Wandsworth loses their patience after just 2.5 minutes - at which point huffing and puffing, sighing and impatient mutterings begin.
The top patience-busting irks for Wandsworth residents are a slow internet connection, walking behind slow people, bad traffic, foreign call centres and being told their call is held in a queue, according to a survey by delivery website myhermes.co.uk.
Six out of ten people say they snap if left waiting too long in a queue, with a third admitting to ranting and raving to strangers.
The survey also found that men are more impatient than women. Five out of ten men said they would wait up to a minute before storming off, but only one in ten women would lose their cool as soon.
Jon Tobbell, of myhermes.co.uk, said: "It’s surprising to see the extent of how impatient people really are. We all lead busy lives and time is precious to everyone. No-one likes to lose their cool."
