Singer songwriter Jamie Abbott will be joined by some of his musically-minded friends when he takes to the stage in Balham for a charity gig.

The Londoner has agreed to perform at the beautiful Globe Theatre at The Bedford with the goal of raising money for the child counselling service ChildLine.

He will be playing material from his new acoustic EP Trouble’s Nearly Over. And Abbott will be joined by fellow musicians including Mark 'Kipper' Eldridge, John Peppard, Lauren Stewart, Johnson Jay and Lauren Aqualina.

In addition there will be as yet unnamed special guests, who have worked with Abbott this year, appearing on stage.

He said: "It’s a privilege to be able to perform and support such an important organisation. I was asked to play a gig for ChildLine Rocks earlier in the year and having heard more about all the fantastic work they carry out, I felt obliged to try and do a little more to help."

Daryl Clark, founder of ChildLine Rocks, added: "ChildLine Rocks is fortunate to enjoy growing support from the music industry and from both established and up and coming artists such as the very talented Jamie Abbott.

"In a little over three years, ChildLine Rocks has raised nearly £350,000 and this has only been possible through the backing of such talented musicians."

The night also features a fundraising raffle, which organisers hope will help them reach a £1,000 target.

The gig takes place at The Bedford, Bedford Hill, Balham, on October 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5.
