Historical novelist Kathleen Kent will be giving a talk on her latest book The Traitor’s Wife.
The Texan is visiting Croydon Central Library to promote her novel, a prequel to her first book Heretic’s Daughter, which dealt with Kent’s family history in Cromwellian England and 17th century Massachusetts her connection to the witch hangings of Salem.
Research has shown she is decended from the man who executed Charles I and his wife, who was hanged as a witch at Salem.
Kent will be talking about her work at 2.30pm on Saturday October 8, on Level 1 of the Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street.
The event is free, but anyone planning to come along should let the library know in advance by e-mailing level3@croydon.gov.uk or phoning 020 8726 6900 ext 61114.
