A man was stabbed in a suspected road rage incident yesterday afternoon in Thornton Heath.
Police were called at approximately 4.20pm to reports of a stabbing in Grove Road at the junction with Goldwell Road.
When officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene, they found a man in his 40s suffering from stab wounds to his hand and arm.
The man was taken to a south London hospital, where he is currently in a stable condition, although it is believed his injuries are potentially life changing.
At around 7pm, three people were arrested in connection with the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: "Following fast time enquiries, police officers from Croydon Borough arrested three people, a woman aged in her late teens, and two 20-year-old men.
"They remain in custody at a south London police station."
