Makes 8-9 medium sized crepes

4 oz (100g) plain flour
A pinch of salt
1/2 pt (300ml) milk
1 egg vegetable oil (for frying)
1 tsp icing/caster sugar (optional)

Method

Mix the batter until smooth and leave to rest for a while.

Heat the oil in the frying pan. Tip excess oil into a jug.

Pour some batter into the pan, and swirl around to coat the bottom of the pan.

Flip, cook until the bottom is covered with brown spots.
