By Nicolas Vangre, Southfields

I read your article and I just want to confirm the District Line is a total mess and nobody cares about bringing people on time to work or school.

Although I am living near Southfields station I've chosen to walk every morning to Earlsfield to catch a train as it's more reliable.

On the District Line we had to cope with Southfields station closed nearly every weekend for more than one year (refurbishment), now we have to cope with another series of weekend track works from Wimbledon to Parsons Green.

There's no planned end to this works. It seems London Underground (should I say Network Rail on this specific part of the line?) are adding extra dates to cope with growing delays in their schedule.

There are four consecutive weekend closures on the branch in October which we have to add to the two or three incidents a week that stop the normal operation on the District Line.

My children have been arriving late at school in South Kensington two or three times a week since early September and every new year seems to look like the previous ones.

Finally not to provide any buses replacement service for such a disruption like this morning is a pure joke.

There is no way you can jump on a bus (39, 156) from Southfields and nearby as they don't even stop because they are already overcrowded with tube passengers.

The only way to get to work is by walking or paying for a cab to the nearest train station where hopefully you'll get on the fourth or fifth already overcrowded train coming from Wimbledon (of course, there is no District Line).

Well done LU and Network Rail!
