A second man from Croydon also featured in Panorama's benefit fraud special.
Steven Sussams of Marston Way, Upper Norwood, had his rent and council tax paid for him, as he was in receipt of incapacity benefit.
The programme revealed Mr Sussams has not been living in Croydon, and was actually living in Kingswear, Dartmouth, where he is landlord of the Royal Dart pub.
Mr Sussams told Panorama: "The case is under investigation by the council. I have no intention of being involved in trial by television, speak to my solicitor."
Mr Sussams is still under investigation by the council, but his housing benefit has been suspended.
He is facing separate allegations he took £25,000 in carer's allowances after allegedly claiming he was looking after someone who had been dead for six months.
