I want to alert all Merton residents about the smart meter petition aimed to ask the government to debate this very important health issue in parliament before the` forced’ installation of wireless microwave emitting gas and electricity meters into every home.

Before the election I alerted our MP, Stephen Hammond, to these plans by the previous government and he replied by saying that he did not agree with `mandatory’ implementation of these meters to control our energy supply.

Unfortunately it seems that this government is going ahead anyway without supplying the public with choice and/or any information about its health and security implications.

I urge everyone to check this out for themselves by going to www.smartmeterpetition.org where the health dangers are clearly outlined.
