Richard Brady expects a hectic schedule of five league games in 18 days to give a proper indication Leatherhead's expectations this season.

The Tanners go to Carshalton Athletic on Saturday and then have four home games in a row against Lewes, Concord Rangers, AFC Hornchurch and Margate, with a charity shield match against Wingate & Finchley squeezed in as well.

Brady's men fell back to the bottom of the Ryman Premier League last weekend as they failed to follow up their win at Hendon as they went down 2-0 at Harrow Borough, but it is the next three weeks that Brady is concentrating on.

"We won at Hendon away, lost at Harrow and now we have Carshalton away and we still want to get six points from nine," he said.

"Then we have four home games in a row which will tell us where we are.

"Carshalton are the big hitters in the league - I saw them at Kingstonian and they are coming along and in a bit of form.

"But it is about the day and we will be aiming to win."

Defeat on Saturday was Leatherhead's first in the league under Brady, who saw his side bounce back with a 2-0 win over Bognor Regis Town in the League Cup on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Jack Macleod and Elliott Thompson.

But he was still ruing poor refereeing from the weekend which he feels costs his side at least a point.

"At 1-0 down we scored but it got disallowed for an offside which was no way near offside," he added.

"That would have been 1-1 with 20 minutes to go but then they went up the other end and scored their second which was about four yards offside.

"In any league, the margins are that fine that if you go 1-0 down and don't get decisions you are not going to get points.

"I was disappointed with the lads as well on Saturday and got stuck into them at half time and full time as I didn't feel we started the right way we should have done.

"But, on reflection, which is always better in football, we had so many chances and their keeper, who is on loan from Charlton Athletic, pulled off two or three really good saves.

"We huffed and puffed but it didn't fall for us and we are not going to win every game.

"Sometimes you get the rub of the green and sometimes you don't."
