A suspected drink-driver, an alleged shoplifter and a man suspected of conning money from an elderly resident are among Kingston police’s most wanted this new year.

The Surrey Comet is publishing their faces in a bid to help police track them down.

Since last month’s appeal two people have been arrested, but Karim Marwane and Gavin Arnold, both 34, are still wanted for questioning.

First on the new year’s list is Steven Shaw, 55, who is wanted for failing to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on December 20, for a drink-driving charge on the A3 on December 1, 2011.

He is also wanted for allegedly fleeing Sainsbury’s petrol station in Hampton without paying for £45.13 of petrol on September 18, 2011.

Police want to speak to Michael Nolan, 30, in connection with an offence of fraud by false representation.

Police claimed he carried out building work for an elderly resident in Surbiton, between July 2009 and February 2010, and charged about £25,000 for roofing repairs that should have cost about £8,000.

Darren Williams, 28, is wanted for allegedly breaching a non-molestation order on December 28, last year.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Len Wright, for allegedly shoplifting £85-worth of toiletries worth from Waitrose, in Surbiton on September 24.

Maximillian Brazier, 23, is wanted for failing to return on police bail after an incident on September 10, last year.

He and another man were arrested for behaviour likely to cause harassment or alarm.

Detective Inspector John Turner from Kingston CID said: “People might have concerns about walking into a police station to give information but what we hope is that by doing this in the paper they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
