Woman injured in Purley crash
A woman has been injured in a collision with a car in Purley.
Police were called just before 8.30am to Brighton Road to reports of a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
The woman, believed to be around 60-years-old, suffered a head injury and is currently being treated by London Ambulance Service at the scene.
A police spokesman said a driver has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The A23 Brighton Road is closed and there is queuing traffic at Purley Cross. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
