Former workers of failed long-haul operator Dreamticket.com have been told they will get their wages paid in full.

An insolvency report into the Purley-based business, part of parent company Selsdon Travel which collapsed last May, said the £76,941 of outstanding wages would be paid in full.

And secured creditor Lloyds Banking Group will receive £166,277, which it lent to Selsdon to buy the Purley premises in 2008.

Dreamticket owner Selsdon Travel ceased trading on May 23 despite promise of investment from a new backer just three months previously.

It left 600 holidaymakers abroad and 4,000 forward bookings, as the company was put into formal liquidation.

At one point the company, which was the third-biggest UK operator in the Maldives, had a turnover of about £35m.

Selsdon Travel bought the domain name dream ticket.com in 2002 after the latter ceased trading a year earlier.
