Police arrest man over Purley crash
A woman hit by a car while pushing a pram in Purley is no-longer in a life threatening condition.
The woman, believed to be 68, sustained head and hip injuries after being hit on Brighton Road, Purley at about 8.30am this morning.
A two year-old boy with her sustained minor hand injuries.
Police were called to the scene and a driver, a 41-year-old man, was arrested under suspicion of dangerous dirving.
He is being questioned at a South London police station.
The woman and child, were treated on the scene before being taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting.
