An Esher business that employs about 350 people has been sold and made redundancies.

The Cookie Man appointed ReSolve Partners LLP to manage the process when it went in to administration on Monday, January 16.

Cameron Gunn, a senior partner with ReSolve, said the company continued to trade, and the intention was to stay trading.

Mr Gunn said the company was working to identify a buyer soon as possible and on Friday, January 20, its sale to a Dutch company was announced.

ReSolve made 25 redundancies at the start of the week, and it was not certain whether or not more would be made following the sale.

The Cookie Man, based in Mill Road, is a factory which produces bread, pastries and biscuits.
